It’s no more essential than waxing you car, but it makes sense to protect your  investment. Your pavers will stay vibrant, resist stains, be easier to maintain, and last  longer.

Sealants protect against staining, UV rays, water damage, mold, algae and other  biological contaminants. It also enhances the paver’s color.  

Yes, you can, but why would you want to? It takes a long time (often in brutal heat),  and the sealants can be tricky to work with. We have the equipment and experience to get excellent results.

When combined with re-sanding the paver joints, sealing your pavers can help to inhibit  weeds although we don’t guarantee that they will never come back.

Only if you use a solvent-based product incorrectly. This is not a problem for us as we  only use water-based sealers. 

Not typically on concrete pavers, but sometimes on pavers like travertine and marble.  In these instances we always insist on adding a non-slip agent.  

Many paver sealing companies tell you to sand paver joints to keep your pavers stable.  We don’t believe in this. We believe that pavers become unstable primarily when the  concrete border starts to break down. Sand only for aesthetic purposes or to help reduce  weed growth.  

You should avoid walking on the pavers until the pavers no longer feel tacky. You can  move your furniture back on it in 24 hours (with the exception of anything that air can’t  get under like rugs or storage boxes – wait 72 hours for these). You should wait 48  hours before driving your car on the new surface.
